Deep underground, the cave was utterly silent. Pale blue light spilled from the glowstones, shining on the gem-crusted golden-red throne, and on the two tiny girls huddled together atop it.
“Miss Knight, you really are something.”
The little witch still had her face buried in Leif’s neck. She let out a childish, muffled hum, then angrily bit down on Leif’s shoulder.
“Why did you take what I said as a last will and testament? I was obviously trying to tempt you with my money…”
Leif wanted to push the little witch away and see just how red her eyes...
