Tim City’s rainy season was long and dreary, but this particular storm was something else—torrential rain, thunder splitting the sky. Several trees had been charred black by lightning in the span of a single night. Inside Lerila Manor, more than a few princesses had been frightened to tears by the thunder.
Fortunately, the lightning finally stopped around midnight. Once the thunder died, the rain, too, slowly eased up. The patter outside the windows grew lighter and lighter, until by dawn it had vanished completely.
After receiving the message sent by Prince Tenny, Leif and Natiaveda waited in the manor...
