The brown-haired knight sprang up and slashed toward the lark-shadow’s right wing.
“Three!”
Inside the ruined palace, the gloom that had lingered for years was already drowned in the stench of blood. The knights, soaked in gore, had no idea how many times they had already raised their swords. Their bodies were covered in wounds; their arms were so swollen with blood from overuse they could barely lift them.
Even so, they moved like machines, repeating the same motions over and over.
The knights and their teammates still shouted their unified battle cries as they hacked again and again...
