When Fuyan woke up again, she had no idea how much time had passed. A gray, hazy smoke filled her vision. She pushed herself up slowly, and only after a long while did her scattered thoughts finally come back together.
The campfire in front of her crackled and popped. The smoke from earlier was at last starting to disperse, and her field of view gradually opened up again.
She seemed to be in a cave. Outside, it was probably already night; almost everything was pitch-black. She could only make out row after row of indistinct tree shadows, blurry and...
