Although it was an organization despised by many, the entrance to the Witch Hall sat right in the busiest part of town. Led by Fried, Fia now stood before a pale yellow cathedral whose architecture was thick with religious flavor.
Directly across from the cathedral flowed a narrow city river, three or four meters wide. Crowds had gathered along the bank, kneeling on both knees as if performing some kind of ceremony. They held what looked like hard rations in both hands. After the nearby priest in ornate robes said something, the people tossed the rations into the river...
