Suddenly, the Bedroom lights turned on, and Dong Enyu was so startled that her spine went cold, feeling as if she had been caught in the act.
She quickly sat up, only to see that the person standing by the door was Luo Ye.
Luo Ye was wearing a baseball cap, obscuring her expression, and her collar was pulled up high.
Normally, the first thing she did when she got home was to take off her disguise, but not today.
She probably saw Mu Lin’s shoes at the entrance and decided not to take off her hat.
“…Luo Ye, you’re back.”
Dong Enyu was so frightened that she stuttered a bit when she spoke.
She quickly calmed herself, pulled off the blanket, and jumped out of bed.
At this point, Mu Lin also sat up awkwardly, looking a bit puzzled when she saw Luo Ye.
As Dong Enyu approached Luo Ye, she immediately smelled the strong scent of alcohol on her.
Luo Ye’s military jacket was slashed in many places by a sharp object, and there were faint glimpses of wounds underneath.
The sleeves were stained dark red with blood, looking quite alarming.
Dong Enyu frowned and carefully helped Luo Ye back to the living room.
She let Luo Ye sit down first and quickly fetched the first aid kit.
Because of the special nature of Luo Ye and her work, the first aid kit was well-stocked.
“What happened to you?
Why are you hurt like this?”
Dong Enyu pulled up her sleeve and carefully cleaned the wounds.
Fortunately, they were just flesh wounds, but she still felt it was a bit much.
Given Luo Ye’s agility, she couldn’t imagine anyone being able to hurt her.
Luo Ye didn’t answer, just turned her head to look at Mu Lin, who was standing by the Bedroom door.
When Mu Lin noticed Luo Ye’s intense gaze, she immediately walked from the door to the living room, but she didn’t dare get too close, keeping a three-foot distance from them.
Mu Lin hesitated for a while, knowing that Luo Ye was probably Dong Enyu’s roommate, so she had to greet her properly.
“Hello, I’m Mu Lin.”
She spoke with some unease, clutching her clothes because Luo Ye’s gaze wasn’t very friendly.
Luo Ye’s entire face was obscured by the brim of her hat and her clothes, making it hard to see, but Mu Lin knew she didn’t seem very happy.
Dong Enyu wrapped Luo Ye’s wounds with bandages and finally took a moment to glance at Mu Lin, then turned to explain to Luo Ye, “Mu Lin is my friend.
We met at the Night Club today, and since it was so late, I let her stay over.”
She saw Luo Ye finally shift her gaze back to her, and she breathed a slight sigh of relief.
“You’re injured, so don’t drink so much.
It won’t help your wounds heal.”
Dong Enyu cut the bandage and put the medicine back in the first aid kit.
“What exactly happened?”
she urged Luo Ye to answer her.
“The goods were stolen,” Luo Ye spoke, her voice low and alluring, but her tone was indifferent.
“Antique dealer.”
…Antique dealer?!
Dong Enyu was taken aback, knowing it was another case of Han Ge and Qi Ge’s investment in antiques being stolen.
She wanted to ask more, but with Mu Lin still there, Dong Enyu had to hold back.
After putting away the first aid kit, she walked back to the sofa, bent down, and wrapped her arms around Luo Ye’s waist.
“You’re tired too, why don’t you sleep first?
I’ll help you to the room.”
Dong Enyu tried to help Luo Ye up, but the atmosphere suddenly felt off.
Before she could pull away, Luo Ye pulled her into her arms.
In an instant, a large hand grabbed her hair, and their breaths intertwined.
Luo Ye boldly kissed Dong Enyu in front of Mu Lin, and it wasn’t just a simple lip-to-lip kiss.
Luo Ye opened her mouth, extending her tongue to lick and suck on Dong Enyu’s soft lips.
When Dong Enyu refused to open her mouth, Luo Ye bit her chin until Dong Enyu felt pain, then immediately captured her lips, forcefully inserting her tongue.
Her nimble tongue swept through, entwining with Dong Enyu’s red tongue, then gently sucking on her lips.
The fiery and direct kiss left Dong Enyu’s mind blank.
She instinctively wanted to push away, but Luo Ye’s hand pressed against the back of her head, preventing any distance between them, only bringing them closer.
Lips rubbed, tongues intertwined, occasionally making kissing sounds, clearly an adult’s passionate kiss.
“Mm!”
Dong Enyu’s tongue was bitten, not too hard, but enough to send a jolt through her.
She pulled away, a string of saliva connecting them.
Luo Ye bit her tongue, not too hard, not too soft, sending a current through her.
Dong Enyu panted heavily, pressing her lips together, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“Mu Lin, you should go back to your room first.
I’ll come in later.”
She didn’t dare look back at Mu Lin because her expression must be quite disheveled now.
Dong Enyu heard the sound of slippers shuffling towards the Bedroom, and then the door gently closed.
Only when the living room was left with just Dong Enyu and Luo Ye did she breathe a slight sigh of relief, though her emotions were mixed.
Luo Ye did it on purpose, she knew.
Dong Enyu stared at her, reaching out to remove the hat covering her face, but Luo Ye held her hand, unwilling to show herself directly with an outsider present.
Luo Ye pulled Dong Enyu closer, the two of them snuggling on the sofa, inhaling the scent of disinfectant on Luo Ye.
Dong Enyu didn’t dare push away too hard, afraid of hitting Luo Ye’s wounds.
“There’s a guest here.”
Dong Enyu brushed away Luo Ye’s hand resting on her hip, knowing what she wanted to do.
“Tell her to leave.”
Luo Ye lowered her head, nibbling on Dong Enyu’s ear, speaking softly.
…Tell her to leave.
“It’s so late, I can’t just kick her out.”
Dong Enyu laughed helplessly a few times.
She knew Luo Ye was just saying it.
If she really wanted Mu Lin to leave, she would have already grabbed her clothes and thrown her out.
Would she “notify” her like this?
“Sorry, just for tonight.
I won’t bring anyone back again.”
She felt a bit regretful, not because she was living with Luo Ye, but because of their identities.
They were both involved in the underworld, and bringing an ordinary person seemed a bit too much.
She really wanted to ask about the details of the stolen goods, but now wasn’t the time.
Luo Ye didn’t respond, her hand gently stroking Dong Enyu’s back, back and forth, softly caressing.
“If you don’t want to go back to the room, just sleep on the sofa tonight.”
Dong Enyu leaned against her for a while, then said softly.
Just as she got up, Luo Ye grabbed her hand again.
“Water.”
She asked Dong Enyu to pour her some water.
Dong Enyu didn’t hesitate.
She went into the kitchen to pour Luo Ye some warm water.
When she returned to the living room, Luo Ye was already curled up on the sofa, seemingly asleep.
She placed the glass on the table, went into the room to get a blanket, and covered her.
Feeling like she had done a good deed, she finally returned to the bedroom.
The room was quiet.
Dong Enyu moved gently as she lay down on the bed.
Just as she pulled up the blanket, Mu Lin hugged her from behind.
Those hands were a bit cold, but they held her tightly.
“Sorry for making you see that,” Dong Enyu said softly, unsure of how to explain things to Mu Lin.
Fortunately, Mu Lin didn’t ask further.
She just tightened her arms, holding Dong Enyu so tightly that she couldn’t sleep well that night.
The next morning, when Dong Enyu woke up, she felt something was off.
There were three people in the double bed: Dong Enyu in the middle, Mu Lin on the right, and Luo Ye on the left.
She didn’t know when Luo Ye had climbed into bed.
Luo Ye was staring at Dong Enyu with her eyes open, the two of them face to face, while Mu Lin hugged Dong Enyu from behind, her hands never moving all night.
Luo Ye had already showered, exuding a fragrant scent of body wash.
She wasn’t wearing a hat and had changed into a new military jacket.
“Is she with you?”
Luo Ye asked about Dong Enyu and Mu Lin’s relationship, her voice charming and a bit lazy from just waking up.
Dong Enyu looked into her eyes, thinking Luo Ye really was like a wolf, with calm eyes carrying a hint of menace, faintly visible.
“Friends,” Dong Enyu replied naturally.
She and Mu Lin were indeed friends.
“Girlfriends?”
Luo Ye pressed on, asking another question.
…Girlfriends.
Hearing this, Dong Enyu raised her eyebrows and clarified, “Female friends.”
She felt Luo Ye was overstepping, and besides, she and Luo Ye weren’t in a relationship, as if she was cheating…
Seeing Dong Enyu’s face darken, Luo Ye stopped asking.
At that moment, Mu Lin murmured a few times, seemingly waking up.
Luo Ye simply got up and left the bedroom, not closing the door behind her.
Dong Enyu felt the arm around her waist move away, and she sat up.
Mu Lin rubbed her eyes, her light brown eyes still a bit hazy.
She stared at Dong Enyu for a long time, seemingly thinking about something, before finally smiling innocently and greeting Dong Enyu with a good morning.
“Morning,” Dong Enyu replied, getting up to let Mu Lin use the bathroom first.
After Mu Lin finished washing up, she walked into the living room.
Luo Ye had already put on her cap, sitting on the sofa with her arms crossed.
“Good morning,” Mu Lin greeted politely.
Luo Ye didn’t respond, just nodded slightly.
Compared to last night’s hostility, there seemed to be signs of improvement today.
Mu Lin breathed a sigh of relief and moved slightly closer to the sofa.
She remembered the scene of Luo Ye and Dong Enyu kissing last night, her cheeks turning red.
That vivid image wouldn’t go away, and just thinking about Dong Enyu’s somewhat enjoying expression made Mu Lin swallow hard.
She had never seen Dong Enyu like that…
But, would roommates kiss like that?
“Um…
you and Enyu…”
Mu Lin nervously clutched her clothes, wanting to ask Luo Ye, but Luo Ye ignored her.
She slightly turned her head, her gaze under the shadow tightly fixed on Mu Lin.
“You and Enyu…”
Do you often do that kind of thing?
Before Mu Lin could ask, Dong Enyu walked out of the bedroom, already dressed and seemingly ready to go out.
Seeing Mu Lin’s obvious trembling, she raised her eyebrows at Luo Ye, as if asking what happened, but Luo Ye didn’t respond.
“What’s wrong?”
Dong Enyu stepped forward, patting Mu Lin’s shoulder comfortingly.
Luo Ye’s aura was too intense, and she was afraid Mu Lin would be scared.
“Nothing,” Mu Lin shook her head, raising her hand to cover Dong Enyu’s arm on her shoulder, but for just a second.
She felt Luo Ye’s stern gaze and immediately put her hands down obediently.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you home,” Dong Enyu said, not noticing Luo Ye’s odd behavior.
She gently pushed Mu Lin, urging her to move.
“Okay,” Mu Lin nodded obediently, heading towards the entrance.
Dong Enyu watched Mu Lin sit at the entrance to put on her shoes, then turned to Luo Ye, hands on her hips, with a smile.
“What do you want for breakfast?
I’ll buy it for you when I get back.”
Luo Ye didn’t answer, instead lying back on the sofa, pulling her cap down, “Send her off.”
She only said three words.
Dong Enyu chuckled, realizing she shouldn’t bring guests over anymore.
She and Mu Lin walked into the parking lot, and along the way, she felt Mu Lin glancing at her.
Dong Enyu knew she must be concerned about last night, but she pretended not to notice, opening the car door and gesturing for Mu Lin to get in.
