Vampeerz: An English Vampire Yuri Manga Guide

An adult vampire woman and an adult woman in a lavender dress smile beneath wisteria beside a moonlit pool.

Vampeerz is a vampire Yuri manga by Akili, with an English edition from DENPA. It brings a supernatural romance into Ichika’s home and school life. Start with Volume 1 if you want a GL story that combines attraction, comedy, and a mysterious visitor.

This is a guide to the publisher’s premise and English editions, checked on 20 October 2026. It does not review the complete series or reveal the ending.

What is Vampeerz about?

The story opens after a funeral. As Ichika and her family return to daily life, a young woman arrives at their home in search of something. DENPA’s Volume 1 description leaves the visitor’s purpose unclear. That question gives the opening its supernatural mystery.

The next volume makes the romantic interest clear. Ichika is drawn to Aria, a vampire who becomes a constant presence at home, at school, and around her friends. Ichika then looks for a way to express her feelings and get a reaction from Aria.

The appeal of this setup is the contrast between an unusual visitor and familiar daily life. You get a vampire romance that also has room for school scenes and comic situations. It is a manga, not a prose light novel or an interactive visual novel.

Expect romance and comedy, not only horror

DENPA places Volume 2 under Yuri, Romance, Rom-Com, Vampires, and Supernatural, among other categories. These labels help explain the mix. A vampire premise does not mean that every scene is built around fear.

Choose it if you want romantic interest stated in the publisher’s description, rather than having to guess from a cover. The description also includes Aria’s intrusive presence in Ichika’s life. Do not take the comedy label as a promise that the relationship has no difficult moments.

If your main requirement is a vampire-and-vampire-hunter couple, this guide does not confirm that pairing. The opening descriptions establish Ichika’s attraction to Aria, but do not identify Ichika as a vampire hunter.

The premise starts with a family death. If you need more specific information about blood, violence, or sexual content, check the exact volume before reading. Our content-warning guide explains how to ask without requesting a full plot summary.

Where to start with the English edition

Read Volume 1 before Volume 2. DENPA lists English digital editions of both books and credits Molly Rabbit for translation and Mo Harrison for lettering. Its digital listings describe offline, DRM-free reading, which may suit readers who prefer to keep a local copy.

Check print availability separately. At the time of this check, Volume 1 had a paperback retailer menu, while Volume 2’s page said its paperback edition was unavailable. That notice concerns the listed format; it does not mean the digital volume is unavailable.

Open the publisher’s Volume 1 page to choose a format. Check the language and volume number before buying. If you want a choice-based Gothic vampire story instead, our Carmilla: Crimson Moon guide covers a different reading format.
