The conversation was over, and Aurora had left. In the quiet, melancholy room, Jasmine lay alone on the huge bed, bewilderment written all over her face.
She hugged the blanket tightly. Recalling the words and actions she had used to comfort Aurora moments earlier, she became hopelessly tangled in her thoughts. She pulled the blanket over her face, squeezed her legs together, and rolled around on the sheets.
