No idea how much time had passed before Qin Xiangyi woke up again, her head throbbing like hell.
Instinctively, she reached up to touch it, only to find her hand covered in blood.
What was even weirder was that she’d clearly been in her room, but when she woke up, she was in some place that looked like a hotel.
“Don’t… don’t…” A woman’s voice was weakly crying out, while a man laughed wildly.
“Go ahead and scream, even if you scream your lungs out, no one’s coming to save you!” The man’s crude, disgusting words made Qin Xiangyi frown in annoyance.
She didn’t know what was going on, but it sounded like the woman outside was in danger.
Qin Xiangyi pressed her still-bleeding head, wanting to find her phone to call the police, but realized she didn’t have a phone on her or anywhere nearby.
On top of that, she was wearing a dress she’d never worn before.
Qin Xiangyi froze, then looked at herself in the bathroom mirror.
Thankfully, she was still herself, wearing glasses, her face looking a bit pale.
“No! Please, don’t do this! Brother… hurry, save me!” The shouting outside kept going.
Qin Xiangyi hesitated, picked up a mop that looked pretty sturdy, and staggered toward the door.
When she stepped out, the shouting had stopped, and two men were fighting.
Qin Xiangyi was still confused about what was happening, but seeing the man in front of her at a disadvantage, she quickly smacked him hard on the head with the mop.
“Xiangyi, you hit the wrong person, that’s my brother!” The woman on the bed cried out in shock.
Qin Xiangyi paused, muttered an “oh,” and then knocked out the other man who was gloating nearby.
That guy’s face was full of disbelief, but after a moment, he passed out cold.
Looking at the now-mangled mop, Qin Xiangyi tossed it aside and wobbled over to the girl on the bed.
She wanted to know where she was and why she’d been knocked out in the bathroom.
The girl seemed really familiar with Qin Xiangyi.
As Qin Xiangyi got closer, she instinctively leaned in as well.
The moment she got close, Qin Xiangyi caught a strange floral scent—light, but really pleasant.
She couldn’t help but take a few more breaths.
The girl didn’t notice anything odd about Qin Xiangyi.
She threw herself into Qin Xiangyi’s arms, her body trembling.
“Xiangyi, is my brother okay…” Even though she was worried about her brother who’d come to help her, for some reason, she just couldn’t stand up.
Qin Xiangyi didn’t really care.
She wanted to know what was going on, but feeling the girl shaking, she instinctively hugged her and gave a half-hearted reassurance, “He should be fine…”
