Bai Ling looked at the rather disheveled Bai Ting, her concern written plainly across her face.
“With you here, how could I not?”
Bai Ting joked. The blood at the corner of her mouth made Bai Ling’s heart ache.
I’m sorry.
Those words echoed only in Bai Ling’s heart. If she hadn’t been careless, Bai Ting wouldn’t have been hurt. Seeing the blood on Bai Ting’s body made her chest twist with pain, an unspeakable discomfort.
There won’t be a next time.
“I’ll take you to rest first.”
