Because it was still morning, the street was fairly crowded. Everyone was busy with their own shops; even those that weren’t open yet were hurrying to unlock their doors.
People flowed endlessly up and down the street. On both sides stood all kinds of shops, their owners already wrapped up in the day’s work. The morning air was so clear and fresh that just breathing gave one a sense of ease and comfort. The slanting rays of the rising sun bathed the earth and fell on people’s bodies, its gentle warmth drawing quiet, knowing smiles to their faces.
