After they left, the remaining villagers began to tidy things up and deal with the bodies of those who had already gone cold on the ground.
A few people still clung to those icy corpses, sobbing over them, wailing from the bottom of their hearts.
The other villagers didn’t try to stop them. They just stood to the side in silent mourning, letting them cry.
Maybe once they cried themselves out, it would hurt a little less.
When their voices were finally hoarse and some of them had even fainted from crying, the other villagers stepped forward, helped them...
