Late autumn had settled in. Blossom’s nights were brutally dry and cold.
Even with the sacred tree spilling its golden radiance across the sky, the light brought no warmth. The night wind crawled in like a ghost, slipping through collars and cuffs, seeping under clothes and into the body until the skin prickled with chill.
Winter wasn’t far off now.
If it were snowing, the sacred tree decorated like a Christmas tree would probably look stunning.
