Neither blades nor magic could harm the undead soldiers, leaving the Baal troops helpless. With their commander dead and the ranks thrown into chaos, combined with the undead’s horrifying appearance, the soldiers lost their nerve and scattered with barely any resistance.
The undead soldiers had no intention of letting them escape. They swung their long-rusted, blunt swords like clubs, beating the invaders bloody. Their roles were clearly divided: a small group stayed behind to execute the soldiers who were no longer able to fight, while the majority continued pursuing those who had fled.
