Kanata moves in with a university senior
First-year student Kanata Aozawa moves in with Yui Ichinose, a third-year student at the same university. Yui is the daughter of her father’s friend. After moving in, Kanata learns that Yui has casual relationships with women.
Kanata develops feelings for Yui, but Yui does not see her as a possible partner. Their shared home puts Kanata close to someone whose other relationships cause her distress. Choose this premise if you want attraction complicated by different expectations.

The main web story is complete
The author’s Kakuyomu page states that the main story is complete and that extra chapters receive irregular updates. It currently lists 123 episodes, including extras. A later extra does not mean that the main story still needs an ending.
The author divides the story into two parts. Episodes 1 to 50 cover university life. The second part follows the characters into working life and continues to the main ending. The contents also list an epilogue and extras.
If you want to follow the characters beyond university, start with the web version. Use its section headings to follow the change in setting. Its episode numbers are separate from the book volume numbers.
The prose book and manga have different records
The official prose book record lists a KADOKAWA release on 19 March 2025, under the Fantasia Bunko imprint. Its ISBN is 9784040757759. The record does not say that this book contains the entire completed web story.
The manga Volume 1 record gives a release date of 7 August 2026, under Dragon Comics Age. Its ISBN is 9784040764801. The volume number belongs to the comic adaptation. It does not identify a second prose book or confirm that the manga is complete.
Check the language before you start
Use the ISBNs to match a shop listing to the format you want. Confirm the language as well. An English title in a recommendation does not establish that the linked edition contains English text.
