In a nameless little town, a tightly shrouded four‑wheeled carriage came to a stop in front of an inn. The carriage was strange not only because it was wrapped up so thoroughly, but also for two other odd reasons.
First, when the carriage was rolling toward the inn, there had clearly been a coachman sitting on the box. Yet by the time it stopped, the coachman had vanished.
