Natalie noticed something strange about the road. Pedestrians were traveling in only one direction. In other words, there were people heading into the city, but not a single person was coming out.
Why was that? Had the city been placed under martial law, preventing anyone from leaving?
That was Natalie’s immediate thought. The reason was simple: after something so serious had happened inside the city, the Church would surely have it sealed off. That explained the situation before her.
“I can’t shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen.”
