“Lawrence family? What kind of family is that?” Chen Xing hadn’t even figured out the countries in this world yet, let alone any particular family.
The dragon girl next to her noticed her confusion and immediately used telepathy to say, “Master, don’t worry about it.
It’s just a family with some influence, the biggest arms dealer in the Ice Empire, that’s all.”
“I see.
So, bringing up her family right away, is she trying to intimidate me? Or does she think that’ll impress me?”
“My father always taught me to show the sincerest gratitude to my benefactors.
Please, you must come to my home as a guest and let me show you our hospitality.”
“Alright, sure, of course.” Chen Xing nodded.
She needed to get her treasure back, and this family might come in handy.
She was obviously ridiculously strong, but still extremely cautious.
“Thank you so much! Please rest well, I won’t bother you anymore.” Lidi Xi’s excitement was obvious.
She thanked Chen Xing over and over before finally leaving.
“Hmph, I hope you can keep that smile on your face later.” Watching Lidi Xi’s figure disappear into the distance, Chen Xing’s eyes narrowed.
“Master, aren’t you going to tell her about her current condition?”
“You noticed?”
“She was wounded by the corpse poison from a zombie summoned by dark magic.
If nothing is done, she’ll turn into a corpse slave soon.”
Lidi Xi had been injured by that dark mage earlier, and now had corpse poison in her body.
If nothing was done, she’d turn into a corpse slave before long.
Removing the poison would be easy for Chen Xing, but she had no reason to do it.
“Didn’t she say she’s the daughter of a big family? I’m sure they have ways to deal with minor injuries like this.
If she’s not worried, why should I be?”
“Understood, Master.”
“Alright, you two go out.
I should get some sleep.
Ahhh—” Chen Xing yawned.
She didn’t feel tired at all, but she just wanted to sleep, like a nap would make her feel great.
“Master, can I sleep with you?”
“No way!” Chen Xing refused immediately.
If Little Dragon Girl slept with her, she’d definitely do something perverted again.
No! She absolutely couldn’t let her get close.
“Fine…” Little Dragon Girl pouted but didn’t insist.
She wanted her master to get a good sleep, so the darkness inside her would awaken even more.
Even though her master was already pretty bad, she still wasn’t truly evil.
As the embodiment of temporal evil, “bad” wasn’t enough to describe a witch.
“Hmm… The big bed in the Witch’s Tower is still the most comfortable.
Maybe I should teleport back?” Lying in a sleeping bag woven from black matter, Chen Xing could sense the black matter, so it felt like she was lying inside it but not completely.
“Forget it, that bed’s too comfy.
What if I oversleep? This’ll do.”
Chen Xing slowly closed her eyes, but the red magic eye between her two white rabbits was still open.
She could see everything around her through the tent, nothing escaped her gaze.
Little Dragon Girl, Freya, and the knights camping in the distance—her magic eye could easily see their strength, but even so, Chen Xing still didn’t have much of a concept.
“To prevent what happened today, maybe I should rank them?” She thought for a moment, then casually created a spell.
She used Little Dragon Girl as the standard and ranked everyone she could see.
Right now, Chen Xing considered Little Dragon Girl to be level 100.
Using her as a baseline, Freya was level 83, Lidi Xi was 21, and the other knights were all between ten and twenty.
The person who was killed today—Chen Xing used the Witch’s Eye to look into the past and saw the scene.
That dark mage was about level 30.
In other words, Chen Xing could kill a level 30 person with a casual spell.
“Creating a spell feels a lot like writing code.” This spell she’d just made would let her see people’s levels directly with the Witch’s Eye, no need for Chen Xing to calculate.
It was a bit like a game, but she didn’t have any system cheat, or rather, she didn’t need one.
“Sleep, sleep.” After finishing everything, Chen Xing finally closed her Witch’s Eye and drifted off.
She fell asleep quickly, her breathing even, long lashes making her look incredibly cute, with none of that previous evil aura.
But no matter how cute she looked, it couldn’t change her witch nature.
Once Chen Xing fell asleep, she completely relaxed, and true darkness took over her body and mind.
True evil had arrived.
“Mmm… That was such a good sleep.” Chen Xing opened her eyes and stretched, the black sleeping bag melting into her body.
Sleeping was something Chen Xing really enjoyed, because she always felt refreshed and almost transcendent when she woke up.
“I had another dream last night, I dreamed…” Chen Xing yawned as she walked out of the tent, but the moment she stepped outside, she froze.
“I dreamed… I destroyed everything.”
The area around the tent was covered in black snow, like a thick layer of volcanic ash blanketing the land, turning the world black.
Of course, the black snow wasn’t the important part.
What mattered was that the nearby knight camp looked like it had been devastated.
The camp was now a scorched wasteland, and on the charred ground stood several twisted, grotesque statues.
They looked human, but their poses were nothing like humans, limbs twisted and deformed, faces contorted in pain, their bodies dried out like mummies and then charred by fire.
“What happened?”
“Nothing, Master.
Just another ordinary event.” Little Dragon Girl walked over and said casually, not surprised by the scene at all.
“You… don’t remember what happened!?” Suddenly, someone sat up from the pile of black snow—it was a battered Freya, missing an arm and covered in blood.
“What happened? Wasn’t last night just a dream…”
“Of course it wasn’t a dream! You did all this! Why did you do it?”
Facing Freya’s question, Little Dragon Girl retorted, “The Witch doesn’t need a reason to do anything.”
“I could only save her…” Freya struggled to climb out of the snow, then pulled the still-unconscious Lidi Xi from beneath her.
This was the person she’d risked her life to save.
“Why… did I do this?”
Chen Xing rubbed her head, recalling that she’d been walking here, then ran into some patrolling knights.
They attacked her without a word, and then… As a witch of absolute evil, she showed no mercy and killed them in the cruelest way possible.
