Led by the “repentant ones” who had “turned from darkness to light,” several pirate hideouts hidden among the islands were uncovered one by one.
The process was pretty much the same each time: Senior Xue would first use her overwhelming strength to intimidate the pirates who shouted things like “I’m not afraid of anything!” and “No one can stop us!” Then she’d demand that they confess their sins.
After repenting, these people would board the ship and be transported to Qisha Island, where they’d undergo a series of ideological and labor reforms.
