With a slight sidestep, Han Rushuang dodged the whip swung by the man in white.
Using her Light Skill, she swiftly moved to a spot not far from him.
Her long sword aimed directly at his face, but he hurriedly dodged her attack.
Han Rushuang wasn’t disappointed; instead, a barely noticeable smile appeared on her lips.
With a graceful spin and a flick of her wrist, she created a beautiful sword flower, blocking the whip aimed at her right shoulder.
Hearing the cheers from the little one below the stage, Han Rushuang’s smile widened.
Her right wrist moved quickly, creating one sword flower after another, attacking the man in white.
Faced with Han Rushuang’s fierce attacks, the man in white had no choice but to swing his whip rapidly to fend off her relentless sword strikes.
He felt fortunate for having invested heavily in a specially crafted golden silk whip for this hero gathering.
It was the only reason he could withstand so many of Han Rushuang’s fierce attacks.
If he had used his previous whip, it would have been destroyed by her sharp sword by now.
While feeling lucky, he couldn’t help but be secretly amazed at Han Rushuang’s high level of martial arts, which had so easily forced him into such a dire situation.
“Go, Sister Rushuang! Kick that gorilla off the stage!”
Meng Xiaoyu shouted even more energetically as she watched the man in white awkwardly dodging on stage.
Glancing at the little one cheering for her below, Han Rushuang felt a surge of sweetness in her heart.
She thought to herself, “It’s time to end this match.”
With that thought, she advanced with her sword to meet the incoming whip.
As her sword and the whip clashed, Han Rushuang’s right wrist moved swiftly, wrapping the whip around her sword.
Then, with a burst of energy in her right arm, she forcefully flung the man’s whip away.
Enraged by the loss of his weapon, the man in white charged at Han Rushuang with his bare hands.
However, Han Rushuang calmly sheathed her sword, leapt into the air with a light tap of her toes, dodged his attack, and then kicked him in the chest, sending him off the stage.
The man in white, kicked off the stage by Han Rushuang, fell to the ground in a sorry state, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
He lay there for a while before two men in blue outfits appeared from nowhere to help him up.
They slowly led him to a chair to rest.
“Sister Rushuang is so cool, Sister Rushuang is amazing!”
Meng Xiaoyu couldn’t help but shout in admiration at Han Rushuang’s graceful kick that sent the man in white off the stage.
Han Rushuang, on the other hand, showed a rare gentle expression as she looked at the person shouting below.
“Amitabha, young lady, your skills are impressive. This humble monk is here to learn from you,” said a bald monk in gray robes as he leapt onto the stage.
Before Han Rushuang could react, the gray-robed monk attacked with his fists.
“Hey, you sneaky monk! Monks shouldn’t be so underhanded!”
Meng Xiaoyu shouted angrily at the gray-robed monk, who attacked without warning.
Her outburst was met with chants of “Amitabha” from several monks nearby.
Dodging the monk’s heavy punch, Han Rushuang frowned slightly, reminding herself, “This person is a formidable opponent; I must not be careless.”
With that thought, she focused her energy, drew her sword, and engaged the monk in combat.
Turning her head to avoid the monk’s palm strike, she twisted her wrist and thrust her sword towards an opening on his left side.
The monk quickly spun to evade her strike and then kicked towards Han Rushuang’s abdomen.
She dodged swiftly, and the monk leapt into the air, aiming a powerful kick at her face.
He thought she wouldn’t be able to dodge, but to his surprise, Han Rushuang spun quickly and evaded the attack.
After narrowly avoiding the monk’s full-force kick, Han Rushuang’s face turned slightly pale.
But before she could catch her breath, the monk swiftly turned his fist into a palm and struck down hard on her right shoulder.
“Sister Rushuang, watch out!”
Meng Xiaoyu exclaimed in alarm as she saw the monk’s palm about to hit Han Rushuang.
She breathed a sigh of relief when Han Rushuang quickly dodged the attack.
Watching the monk press on and Han Rushuang’s rapid evasions, Meng Xiaoyu grew anxious.
She turned to Han Rubing and asked, “Sister Rubing, who is that sneaky monk? Why is he so strong?”
“Judging by his skills and the gourd at his waist, he should be the unrestrained monk from Foyin Temple,” Han Rubing replied with a serious tone.
“Unrestrained? More like Pigsy!”
Meng Xiaoyu muttered to herself, recalling the monk’s reputation.
She noticed the gourd at his waist and thought, “A monk who drinks? Does he think he’s Lu Zhishen?”
She continued to grumble internally and asked, “Is he famous and powerful?”
“Yes, did you see his punches and palm strikes? Those are his signature moves, the Mountain-Crushing Fist and the Sky-Splitting Palm,” Han Rubing explained softly.
“Mountain-Crushing Fist and Sky-Splitting Palm?”
“Yes, the Mountain-Crushing Fist is the signature martial art of Foyin Temple, and the Sky-Splitting Palm is the monk’s own creation. Both are extremely powerful techniques, and combined with the temple’s blazing sun internal energy, they become even more formidable. That’s why Rushuang has little chance of winning,” Han Rubing said with concern as she watched Han Rushuang struggle on stage.
Meng Xiaoyu pondered Han Rubing’s words, “Extremely powerful, huh?”
Then she suddenly remembered something and shouted to Han Rushuang on stage, “Sister Rushuang, use the Tai Chi I taught you and Rubing sister recently!”
Recalling Han Rubing’s words, Meng Xiaoyu thought of Tai Chi, a gentle and soft martial art.
Although she wasn’t sure if the gentle Tai Chi could counter the monk’s fierce attacks, it was worth a try.
Otherwise, Sister Rushuang would surely be injured by the monk.
Sister Rubing had once said that Tai Chi was a profound martial art that could overcome strength with softness.
Meng Xiaoyu felt a bit relieved, thinking, “Good thing I taught them Tai Chi because they were interested.”
Now, she could only pray that the Tai Chi, which she jokingly called gymnastics, would work its magic and defeat the sneaky monk.
