The Fed-Up Office Lady: A Villainess Yuri Manga Guide

Two adult women in a plum suit and lavender gown dance in a sunlit fantasy ballroom.

The Fed-Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess follows a woman who loses her job and becomes a villainess’s secretary inside a game. Nekotarou writes and draws this Yuri manga. Seven Seas publishes the English edition.

Natori Midori knows the game’s story, but she must persuade Lapis Tenebrae to trust her. That gives the romance a specific starting point: a new employee has information that could protect her dangerous boss. Start with Volume 1 if that mix of work, survival, and growing affection appeals to you.

Natori gets a new job inside a game

After three years in an office job, Natori is laid off. She turns to the visual novel Fairy Tale of Jewels. Then Lapis, the game’s villainess, summons her into its world.

Natori fears for her life. She presents her knowledge of the game as psychic ability and uses it to protect Lapis. Lapis makes her a personal secretary. Natori now has a job to perform while her feelings for her new employer develop.

The Seven Seas series description confirms this premise and labels the manga as Girls’ Love, fantasy, isekai, and romance. The guide below uses the publisher’s descriptions. It does not reveal the ending or claim to review the full series.

Keep the manga and its fictional game separate

The book you buy is a manga. The visual novel is the game within its story. Look for Nekotarou’s name and the English publisher when you search, especially if you found the title through a short clip or an unlabelled image.

Natori arrives as someone who knows the game. She takes a supporting role beside Lapis rather than becoming the villainess herself. Our Yuri transmigration guide explains how these different starting roles affect a story.

The title also differs from I’m in Love with the Villainess by Inori. These are separate series. If you want that prose series, use our I’m in Love with the Villainess reading order instead.

Four English volumes have release dates before October 2026

Read the numbered volumes in order. As checked on 10 October 2026, Seven Seas lists the following English release dates. Later dates are scheduled releases and can change.

Volume English release date
1 26 August 2025
2 16 December 2025
3 28 April 2026
4 18 August 2026
5 22 December 2026, scheduled
6 18 May 2027, scheduled

Do not treat the six catalogue entries as six books you can read in English today. The Volume 5 listing still has a future date. Check the retailer’s stock or preorder status before you pay.

Check Volume 1 before committing to the series

The English Volume 1 listing gives 200 pages and ISBN 9798895611111. It credits Caroline Winzenried for translation and Toppy for lettering. Seven Seas rates it Teen, ages 13 and above.

The opening includes a threat to Natori’s safety and a lie she uses to survive. A Girls’ Love label does not promise a gentle relationship from the first chapter. Check a sample if you want to judge the humour, tension, and panel style.

Use the publisher’s print or digital retailer links to find your edition. Confirm the language and volume number on the retailer’s page. Begin with Volume 1 to see how Natori turns her game knowledge into a place beside Lapis.
