A Lily Blooms in Another World: A Complete Yuri Novel

Two adult women in plum and lavender fantasy dresses hold hands in a sunlit meadow above a country estate.

A Lily Blooms in Another World is a complete Yuri light novel by Ameko Kaeruda, with illustrations by Shio Sakura. Miyako enters the world of an otome game and pursues its villainess, Fuuka. You can read their story in one volume, without starting a long series.

J-Novel Club lists the book as a completed one-shot with fantasy, romance, and slice-of-life tags. It offers an English preview. This guide covers the published premise, the opening sample, and edition details checked on 2 October 2026. It does not review the full novel or reveal the ending.

A runaway romance with a fourteen-day condition

Miyako welcomes the end of her engagement to Klaus. She has wanted to leave that arrangement so she can approach Fuuka, the woman she loved in the game. Her next step is direct: she asks Fuuka to run away with her.

Fuuka agrees with a condition. Miyako has fourteen days to make her happy. The publisher’s description also names scheming nobles, unusual illnesses, and magic as obstacles. Their journey has problems beyond whether Fuuka will accept Miyako’s feelings.

The romantic goal is clear from the start. Miyako wants the villainess, rather than one of the game’s male love interests. Fuuka must respond to a woman who knows more about her than she expects. That difference gives the opening both awkward exchanges and reasons for distrust.

Try the sample before choosing a lighter read

The official English preview begins on Miyako’s nineteenth birthday. Her excitement after the broken engagement gives the first scene a comic tone. The next section shows Fuuka’s view, so you also see what the failed marriage arrangement costs her.

Fuuka faces family pressure and mistreatment. The sample describes her father throwing a bottle at her after her engagement ends. If you want a story with no family abuse or distress, the slice-of-life tag is not enough to confirm that this book will suit you.

Read both opening viewpoints before you decide. They let you test Miyako’s eager manner, Fuuka’s sharp replies, and the English prose. J-Novel Club suggests the book for readers aged fifteen and above. That age guide does not replace a check for a specific subject you want to avoid.

One novel, with digital and print editions

The English digital edition was released on 7 October 2020. J-Novel Club credits Tom Harris as translator and Jennifer Sherman as editor. Its numbered online parts divide the same novel into reading sections; they are not ten separate volumes.

The paperback listing at Yen Press gives a release date of 7 December 2021, a length of 188 pages, and ISBN 9781718366428. The imprint is J-Novel Club. Use that ISBN if you want to find the print edition through a bookseller or library.

These are existing English editions, not an announcement of a new release. Check current stock at your chosen shop. To read digitally, use the publisher’s purchase options and check the reading format before payment.
