The royal guards, who had been dead set on preventing Mo Li from setting foot inside Shattered Stars no matter what anyone said, softened at once upon hearing that enchanting, melodious voice.
“To meet someone from a foreign land at a time like this… It must be fate in its own way. Let him in.”
The voice fell silent.
“We were rude just now.”
The two elven royal guards bowed respectfully to Mo Li, then climbed onto the gatehouse and hauled up the locking bars. The crystal archway opened to either side.
