After bidding farewell to the carriage driver, Mo Li stretched and stepped out of the shrubbery.
“Mm.”
Aurora noticed the ring on Mo Li’s ring finger, its light faintly shimmering, and tactfully asked no questions.
Everyone had secrets of their own, after all, and relentlessly prying into other people’s secrets was a sure way to become unwelcome. Aurora had little interest in other people’s secrets. Mo Li was the sole exception. She always wanted to understand him better; in her mind, too many pieces of the puzzle that made up Mo Li were missing.
