Most of the alcohol had finally burned off. Mo Li’s groggy mind started to surface. His vision was still spinning, but at least he could string together a coherent thought now.
Once he was a bit more awake, a stabbing pain hit his head, just like a hangover—though he’d never actually had one before.
His awareness and memories slowly crawled back. It was obvious: he’d blacked out from drinking. Aside from remembering Kane dragging him off for drinks, everything after that was a total blank.
